Tasty Tuesday - Cupcake Cones
Tasty Tuesday is ready to give you a quick, fun and easy recipe to try with your kids this week!
Cupcake cones!
You need:
1 box of cake mix (grab what's in your pantry or let your kiddos pick their favorite flavor)
1 cup of water
1/3 cup canola oil
3 large eggs
24 sugar cones
Icing and/or decorations
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix the eggs, water, cake mix and oil together until well blended. We tend to use the hand mixer because my toddler loves to help me use it.
3. Put the cones in muffin tins to bake. Then, fill the cones about 2/3 full with batter.
4. Bake for about 20 minutes.
5. Let cool (if you poke a hole in the bottom of the cone it helps keep it crisp).
6. Decorate!
I need to make a special note about transportation. I used a mini muffin tin and mine ended up like this. It was a wonderful comedic moment, but completely avoidable.
